[NOTE 1-16-2013] Since I written this article, Google has released a Google Maps app on the App Store. While it’s nice on the iPhone, it isn’t optimized for the iPad yet. But the point of this article is that they wouldn’t need to do so.

With iOS 6, Apple removed the built-in Google Maps and Youtube apps. And while Google released a Youtube app through the iOS app store, Google Maps was replaced by Apple’s own proprietary map software. Whether it was a decision made by Apple or Google (though it seems like it’s leaning more toward Apple) is debatable, but ultimately irrelevant. Because this move was a terrible business decision for everyone: Apple, Google and the consumers.

Why You Should Never Have a Flash Based Website

You want your website to look really cool. You want it to have neat transition effects and other cool animation. First thing may come to mind is Adobe’s Flash Player. It’s fairly easy to use and it is being integrated throughout the internet and you think that’s the way to go.

Well . . . YOU’RE WRONG!

But that’s ok, because there are different ways to get all the cool animation effect without using a Flash plugin. But first I’m going to go through a small list as to why using Flash is a bad idea.
